State Instrumental Music Results

Quapaw Instrumental Music students competed at the State Instrumental Solo and Ensemble contest in Stillwater this morning. They received 3 Superior ratings and 3 Excellent ratings. The Rhythmicity Percussion Ensemble, Kaity Thomas and Acey Moreland's snare duet, and Lydia Daugherty's mallet solo all received Superior ratings. The Night Drop Percussion Ensemble and Caidence Thrasher and Kaity Thomas's solos all received Excellent ratings. Way to go Quapaw band students!

The Quapaw Middle and High School choir students competed at the District Solo/Ensemble contest in Ada, OK today on the campus of ECU. They had 9 soloists, 3 duets, and 5 large ensembles perform.  We received several Excellent ratings, and six students received Superior ratings, 3 of which were High School students, which means they will advance to the State contest in April. 

Receiving Superior ratings:

Middle School: Ava Morton, Shauna Perry, and Steven Daugherty. 

High School (State Qualifiers): Katie Wakefield, Kinzly Johnston, and Acey Moreland.

The 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is scheduled to launch by December 31, and this year it’s very important that high school seniors (and usually, one or both parents) create their FSA IDs—their electronic signatures for the FAFSA-- at least five days in advance of the day they begin completing the application.  Please see the flyer attached for more information.
